I provide personalized coaching to help students achieve exceptional SAT scores.
A strong SAT score is an important component of a competitive college application, particularly for students applying to highly selective universities. Through targeted 1-on-1 tutoring, I personally improved my ACT from an initial score of 34 to a perfect score of 36, and I can help your student achieve their goals as well.
Why work with me?
I scored a perfect 36 on the ACT and 2350/2400 on the SAT (old format).
I graduated from MIT in 2018 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
I worked at Meta as a Software Engineer for 7 years.
Who is this for?
My tutoring program is designed for high school juniors and seniors who:
Have already taken the SAT or a practice SAT.
Are aiming for 1450–1600 on their next SAT.
Want structured coaching to improve accuracy, pacing, and consistency.
My goal, beyond helping students get a good score on the SAT, is to foster in them a disciplined approach to learning new things that they can apply to any aspect of their academic, professional, and personal lives.
As I launch my private tutoring practice, I'm opening enrollment to a small number of founding families in the Bay Area for Summer 2026 to support students who are planning to take the SAT in September, October, November, and December.
I've lived in Fremont since 2021 and the Bay Area since 2018. I have always had a passion for mentorship and teaching. At Meta, I was a tech lead on multiple teams and mentored engineers through promotions. I was also an intern manager for college juniors who received full-time offers or letters of recommendation. For both roles, I met with my mentees weekly to share technical advice and support them to achieve their career goals. After 7 years at the company, I left voluntarily to take a year's sabbatical and focus on family life.
At MIT, I was a Teaching Assistant for the class Artificial Intelligence, a graduation requirement for the Computer Science major and taken by over 200 students each semester. As a TA, I led recitations (small group classes after lectures), held office hours where I helped many students 1-on-1, and wrote and graded exams.
After settling in Fremont, I became connected to the community through my work as an MIT alumni interviewer. Meeting with prospective students and hearing about their goals and ambitions for the future have inspired me to play a more active role in their development. I love seeing the energy and growth in Fremont, and I enjoy getting to know the locally-owned businesses that make this community special. Starting my tutoring practice is my way of contributing to the community by supporting the next generation of students here.
We will discuss your student's goals and determine whether my tutoring approach is the right fit. The consultation is free.
The student will complete an assignment comprised of SAT practice questions ahead of the diagnostic session. During the session itself, we will review the student's work, then I will begin teaching concepts. I will formulate a plan, and we'll establish our regular session frequency.
There will always be homework, generally comprised of SAT practice questions, for the student to complete outside of lessons. During tutoring sessions, we will review the homework, fix mistakes, and learn new concepts and test taking strategies.
The goal is for students to approach test day with confidence, knowing they've practiced under realistic conditions and developed a consistent strategy. Parents play an important role in this process by providing opportunities for full-length practice tests at home, such as planning a distraction-free 2 hour block on a Saturday morning.
My tutoring program in Summer 2026 is designed for students who are planning to take the SAT in September, October, November and December. It is a great option for students wishing to increase their test scores before applying to colleges early around November.
Please fill out the inquiry form below to kick off the enrollment process. I am accepting a small number of families, prioritizing those located in Fremont and the East Bay, for weekly in-person tutoring sessions.
